Adams & Martin Group is working with a litigation, labor and employment firm to identify a Litigation Secretary to support its legal team. This direct hire opportunity offers a hybrid schedule and is well suited for an experienced litigation professional who is highly organized, team oriented, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment while supporting attorneys with active caseloads.
Responsibilities:
Attorney & Administrative Support
Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to one partner and two associates
Work directly with attorneys to manage workload, case progression, and daily priorities
Serve as a reliable point of contact and take initiative to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
Demonstrate a proactive approach by planning ahead, anticipating needs, and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
Document Preparation & Filing
Prepare, proofread, and finalize pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents
Handle state and federal court filings, including efiling, ensuring compliance with all applicable rules and deadlines
Assist with subpoena preparation and processing as needed
Maintain strong attention to detail and accuracy in all documentation
Case & File Management
Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
Track case activity and support attorneys with ongoing litigation needs
Assist with overall case organization to ensure accessibility and efficiency
Scheduling & Calendar Management
Manage all calendaring responsibilities, including court deadlines, hearings, meetings, and depositions
Maintain accurate and up to date litigation calendars without the support of a docketing department
Ensure all critical dates are tracked, communicated, and met in a timely manner
Client, Court & Internal Communication
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors
Collaborate closely with attorneys and contribute to a positive, team oriented office culture
Participate in a collaborative office environment and maintain strong interpersonal communication
Qualifications
5 to 7 years of litigation secretary experience required
Litigation experience is required; candidates from any practice area will be considered if litigation experience is strong
Recent experience with calendaring and filing in both state and federal courts is required
Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and deadlines
Subpoena experience is a plus
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
Proactive, detail oriented, and able to follow through on tasks with accuracy and timeliness
Strong tenure and demonstrated stability in prior roles required
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Team oriented and comfortable working in a collaborative, social office environment
Work Environment
Hybrid schedule: three days in office (Tuesday through Thursday) and two days remote (Monday and Friday)
Full time hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Collaborative team environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork and engagement
Compensation
Salary range up to $90,000 to $100,000 depending on experience
